INTRODUCING: USAR PLAYER STATus
USAR Player Status is Here! For both open and women’s divisions, we will be piloting Pro, Gold, Silver, and Bronze status to be earned based on all US Sanctioned Play. These statuses are being established with the following purposes:
Provide milestones for individual players to achieve and local communities to pursue.
Add more stakes and value for hosts and participants in sanctioned events to promote more sanctioned play.
Increase national connectivity for assessing skill level with a new data-driven ELO ranking.
Build the player status ecosystem as a tool to use for divisional requirements in future USAR events, beginning with the 2024 US National Championship.
For US Nationals (June 22-23 or 29-30 - finalized date/location TBD), the top divisions will have a Gold+ requirement, meaning both players must hold active Gold Status. Here’s how to earn USAR gold status.
Open: Place top 12 at any Regional Championship or achieve a top 120 open ranking between the months of April-June
Women: Top division will be open.
Both of these divisions will have power pools based on results from Regionals.
